The Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) added Pycap's seminar on Venture Capital and Private Equity to a video series that will be part of their online professional development offerings.
CPA Ontario is the governing body of the self-regulating accounting profession. It serves and supports 92,000 members and 21,000 students in their qualification and professional development in a wide range of senior positions in public accounting, business, finance, government, not-for-profits and academia.
The Entrepreneurship Summit, put on by Foxquilt insurance tech company, was sponsored by Pycap Venture Partners, Deloitte, WorkplaceOne and others.
Pycap CEO Stuart Browne moderated the Finance Panel at the event where corporate financial management and capital raising strategies were discussed.
The event was enjoyed by over 100 entrepreneurs.
Startup companies with technology solutions for the mining, healthcare, and financial services industries competed for $25,000 in cash and $100,000 in in-kind services. Pycap CEO Stuart Browne provided mentorship to the finalists to help position their investor presentation for the best chances for success.
The event was put on by Startup Canada, in collaboration with UPS, Export Development Canada, and the Trade Commissioner Service. More than 1,500 Canadian entrepreneurs participated for the event to join the Global Entrepreneur Cohort to become export-ready and to graduate from their 1-day global accelerator.
