Schulich Pycap COVID-19 Business Support Centre is an initiative created by the Schulich School of Business and Pycap Venture Partners to assist companies in navigating through the current pandemic.
This initiative will provide focused hands-on advisory support to entrepreneurs and small business owners at a minimal cost, while also providing meaningful Summer work opportunities to recent business graduates and senior students recruited from the Schulich School of Business (working under the direction of the Pycap Team).
The advisory support includes grant sourcing and eligibility assessment, grant application advisory, as well as business and financial analysis to help companies uncover new revenue and growth opportunities.

1. Grant Eligibility Assessment
($50) A Schulich Pycap COVID-19 Business Support Centre team member will work with you (the entrepreneur) one-on-one via phone or video conference to assess the company’s position and to determine what government relief programs the company may be eligible for and provide opening recommendations on important data, documents and calculations that are required to apply for the various grants as well as links to the application forms. (Up to 1 hours of assessment support) |
2. Grant Application Support
($100 for the first application + $50 for each subsequent application) A Schulich Pycap COVID-19 Business Support Centre team member will work with you (the entrepreneur) one-on-one via phone or video conference to help you identify eligible government incentive programs and work with you online to support you during the application submission process. (Up to 2 hours of online application support) |
3. Business & Financial Analysis
($750 and above) A Pycap team member can perform research and analysis and work with entrepreneurs one-on-one via phone or video conference to provide entrepreneurs with additional advisory support: strategy, and corporate finance consultation to help guide the company through the current economic crisis with an emphasis on adapting the company’s business model to uncover new strategies to generate revenue and grow. |
